For about a year and a half I have been hosting a weekly gathering to talk about mushrooms here at my place of business in Live Oak. It has been a sort of "invite only" event up till now, and it has been quite a bit of fun. There have been a few die-hard mushroom fans who have shown up almost every week.
The event is never exactly the same - sometimes I cook a mushroom dish, sometimes I demonstrate a cultivating technique, sometimes I have wild mushrooms that I have recently foraged. Going forward I will be opening this event up to the public and will be offering my locally grown mushrooms for sale.
The Mushroom Meet-up is held from 4:00 until 6:00 on Thursday afternoons at our place of business located at 1970 17th Avenue in Santa Cruz - right next door to Harbor Light Church. Look for the GCS Glass sign on the building. I hope to see you there!
